Where has the paper unicorn gone?

I've somehow lost sight of the waltzing paper unicorn by the dusty sawdust lake. It was a long while since i last heard the silent chimes of its bell, shivering thru my thoughts. The silvery tiny bell worn around the circle of its unicorn, that twinkles with the slightest heartbeat. I wonder if darkness has painted its existence away. Erasing every solid bit of it, till i'm left without even an echo of its being.

I searched wildly at every room in my memory for the trace of the paper unicorn. Meddling with the quiet turbulence of my mind, dragging it past consciousness, into a vault of untrue reality where sparkles of imagination ignite the wildest dreams. And maybe, just maybe, i'll find my lost paper unicorn amidst the freezing sea of fallen possibilities.

Doodle-icious ME!

This is what happen when you're stuck in the office with too much time to kill and not enough boys to play footsie with. You doodle. And doodle. And doodle away the hours till its time to hit the road back home again.

The Makeshift Office

This particular post goes out to those who thinks i am working from a cardboard box at a third world dumpster, with flies as colleagues and stray cats as tea lady. Minuscule as this production might be, we do indeed operate from a proper space with real tables, permanent walls and functioning windows.

Though, admittedly, it might not be the cheery on the pudding, but its nothing less of a reverie, for where it lack in its modern day attitude, it gain in its character. Never have i seen a more inviting square block of room in my twenty-two years of living. Yes, you hear it right, twenty-two, for i'm allowed to throw out a few years because of rotten birthday parties. It’s only logical. Anyhow...

It’s pretty hard to put into writing how my dainty little workplace looks like. It had no park, but the pleasure-grounds were tolerably extensive; it had its open courtyard and closer wood walk steps that led to the first floor landing where my office lies. The structure itself was under the guardianship of a shady lane with close knitted neighbors and every evening before the twilight settle into nightfall, a symphony of swallows would recite its playful tune to its anonymous listener.

Me? Incredible Hulk?

I found a gym, here in my little antique town. And no, it’s nothing super sleek like cali or celeb fitness, but it will have to do. Besides, my lovely chinchillas, its dirt cheap beyond reasoning. And when i say dirt cheap, i mean a meal at kentucky f**king chicken would cost more than its daily rate. I know! It’s THAT cheap! Plus, hear this, it doesn't chain me to a yearly contract like what most gym does! So, i'll go whenever i feel like it, and i'll pay whenever i go. How plastic fantastic is that! Its like a storybook ending, where happily ever after does exist. Thank God we live in such an awesome country. Now you see why I salute the flag every morning.

So, having said that, i see no other mortal reasoning for me not to succumb to the alluring call of treadmills and dumbbell. I will be gym-tastic by the end of this trip, so watch out people, the Hulk is coming back to town! :P

GOD! I'm such a drama queen...ahem king!

'I am unease with the possibilities of a wandering heart, one that belong to me but never near enough to be truly mine. Truth is, i've been robbed of the only feeling that would have kept me living, and instead I am now left standing on my own grave stone. I can no longer judge the purity of a person without the hated flashbacks of your vivid images shifted pass me. And lets not even speak about trust. Those five-letter words have been erased of its existence, only to be replace by doubt. And doubt i shall have for those who trespass me, who offer me a place in their heart, to overwhelm me with their sincere compassion and unconfined affection'

Just so you know, this was written awhile back. So, forgive me if i over do the whole dramatic masquerade, for i was over head and ears in lurve then. Hahaha...silly me! :P

I'm the duck in the pot

Oh mighty god in high heaven, you have no effing idea how adventurous life can be, at this little drive thru town. It is uninteresting beyond any vocabulary. I'm like an exile here, abandon to a far away land, to fence for my own little pitiful life. God. I might have just lost my will to live. Isn’t there any felicity in this world anymore? Or have you shut down all happiness from this wretched playground?

No offense to the friendly little people living here. There's no doubt in me that Malacca have the sublime beauty of what every historical small town would be and should be like. Its genteel suburb ways have more to offer than the gruesome city living that i'm used to. Being here is like me at a cultural bargain sale, where every nook and corner is dainty little packages of ethnicity delight and artsy bliss.

But why for the love of chickity china the chinese chicken, am i feeling like a boy band reject? Must be those daily hormone pills. Damn it!

Hello, yet again, you lovely rainbow loving lots. I have decided its high time to effing quit my day job and join a runway circus for real. I always did like juggling apples while waltzing on stilts. And my years in production have made me an aficionado with taming the wildest beast, so bring it on, be it the wild siberian white tigers or the crazy stampeding elephants. It will not scare the bejabbers out of me!!

Two Thousand Nine

Hello stranger. 'Oh! Hello yourself' came the silent reply. That voice. That familiar voice. The same old comfort feeling as if i've known you for awhile. As if you have never left me. Maybe you haven't. Maybe i have been neglecting you. Maybe i have let ignorance take the better part of me. For what ever reason it might be, i'm glad you're still here. Did you know its almost a month since the dawn of the new year have cast its ray on us? Quick huh. Its scary. Its as if time is slowly crawling up on us, dragging us with its sharp claw, poisoning us with the intoxicated fume of the new year. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, its just not my good place right now. Ah well, if it must, i should at least try to make a party of it and not drool in self pity. Its two thousand nine for pit sake. Its a brand new start. Its a new beginning.

I've been traveling. Which explains my absence. Forgive me?

Christmas Plan :)

The jolly season of christmas is here again, warming us up against the cold summer(?) nights while we wait impatiently for the dawn of the new year to arrive. And though i am not a christian by blood or by choice, i see no reason not to seize up this great opportunity to buckle off, sit back and enjoy the magic of christmas.

First up on the list would be to download THE best christmas tune i could get my skinny fingers on. And it can't be just any christmas song. It has to be the upper-most bestest freaking christmas song ever. I wonder if hilary d. does any? Hmm. Kidding!! Fyi, i'm sooo over the whole teeny whinny pop songs phase! What i have in mind is something sang really really long time ago, a piece by an african american, man preferably, husky sounding and no, i am not thinking about louis armstrong. That would be to commonish. I want something exotic, aged and rare sounding. A little bit of googling and youtubing would probably do the trick just fine. Hmm. And with the song, i now just need the perfect christmas plan to go along with it. And though there were already several invites to spend christmas with the girlfriends, i am intrique with the thought of celebrating it alone this year. I haven't been spending much time with myself since coming back from the holiday, maybe this would be a good chance to catch up.

Now. Plan. What sort of plan? Hmm. Hopefully nothing that involved eating alone in a restaurant. The very thought of eating alone, by myself, in a room full of strangers at any time of the day in the calendar, is repulsively depressing. One should never, god forbid, be seen eating alone. If have to, get a take away please and have it in the comfort of ones living quaters. There's a reason why there is never a single seater table in a restaurant, its always a double, four seater or more. Its just too darn depressing eating alone. So, a big NO NO to that for my christmas plan.

Okay. I'm thinking something slightly cultured and out of the normality of urban city life. I'm thinking of..picnic. Yes, picnic! Oh wow!, i haven't have one of those in a effing long time. Think red and white checkered table cloth, huge picnic basket equip with sparking champagne, cheese platter, roast turkey and cream brulee. And i could bring along my jane austen for some literature dessert. Yummy!!

The plan is FINAL! A christmas afternoon picnic with yummilicious food, shared with a tall glass of sparkling champagne, some jane austen and one cranky old christmas tune! How exciting!!

Let's just see if i manage to pull it off in time.
Wish me luck...

New Toys

'Ahoy, Sailors of the Ugly Submarine! I've got bloody good news people!' 'What?!' some of you might asked. 'Have you stop those horrid japs from hunting down baby dolphins up north? or have Brangelina decided to stop adopting every single orphan in the world and dress them up looking like some Gap Kid show piece? or even better have Kimora L. Simmons finally rid us off the torture of her triple chin by having a much needed neck tuck?!'

Sadly, i am not the bearer of such fortunate news. My limited supply of brain juice, have allow me no insight to the vortex of events concerning such great interest to the universe. My good news is nothing of that sort and its not exactly the best news at time of recession like now, but good enough for a personal delight to a certain degree.

Firstly, i got myself my very first book. Yes, a tad lame to others, but a definite achievement to me. If you've been reading my blog thus far, you'll understand. Anyhow, it's Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. And my, what tormented pain i have to indulged flipping thru each page with no understanding what-so-ever of her handsome words as they are as foreign to me as plasma tv is to a blind man. But slowly with the help of a trusted dictionary, i should be well on my way to literature fabulosity by end of the book!

And secondly, i got a new mobile phone. Don't ask me what happen to the previous one please, that is just minor detail, instead rejoice on my behalf the triumphant of the brand new phone. A phone as complicated as jane austen's novels itself. I have therefore resolved to chained the manual book to my neck ever since i got it. And yet, i still have no clue what most of the function does. Well then again, its me we're talking about here. Its expected!

Au Revoir, Chickity China the Chinese Chicken!!

Its a blueberry :)
