Back to the 'BIG' observation as i mentioned in the previous post, well besides that, i realized that architecture in shanghai have a rather peculiar behavior or style. Besides being all tall, talL and TALL, most of it sort of have a weird roof to it. Unlike most skyscraper that i have come across so far, which are normally square boxes-ish, those in shanghai have odd design for their roof top. Some are shape like a world cup trophy, some are curves like a roller coaster track while others range from mushroom head (hihi) to something out of the set of charlie and the chocolate factory. Truly a freak of nature in the architecture industry! Just like marilyn manson, minus the make up.
Anyway, the three days i've stayed in shanghai so far, was spend jaywalking around the many streets in shanghai; absorbing it's rich culture, diverse lifestyle and finding a logic to their very tasty fashion sense. It seems semi peekaboo leggings underneath pumpkin-inspired pants are a fashion must-have for the ladies in town. Personally, i don't think it's very flattering but then again, i think pink sandals and sequin-covered tie are so stylish, so don't let my opinion cloud your judgement. What do you think? Nice or just down right odd?
